Yes We Can Youth Clinics is one of the most successful clinics in the world for young people struggling with mental health issues, addictions, and behavioural problems.
To strengthen our team of coaches at the clinic in Hilvarenbeek, we are looking for a Youth Coach.
As a Youth Coach at Yes We Can Youth Clinics, you are truly there for our fellows. You are their safe haven, motivator, and mirror. You organise physical and connecting activities, talk to fellows without judgement, with full attention and a warm heart, and help bring structure, movement, and meaning to each day.
During your 4-day shift, you stay at the clinic day and night. You live and work alongside your colleagues and the fellows, creating a strong sense of connection. Whether it’s a morning walk, a boxing session, a fireside talk, or a group activity around trust, you offer both safety and challenge. You're not afraid of confrontation, but you always choose a loving and sincere approach.
There’s no step-by-step manual here. You work from intuition, insight, and experience. You switch naturally between action and reflection, between individual support and the group dynamic. All with one purpose: to help fellows rediscover their strength.
You’re like a big brother or sister – close, honest, and engaged. At the same time, you’re part of a multidisciplinary team of youth coaches, therapists, psychiatrists, and counsellors. Together, you make sure our fellows feel seen and are able to take real steps forward. Because we can only make a difference together.
In your first six weeks, you’ll be trained in our very own Yes We Can Academy. You’ll meet colleagues from different disciplines and learn about our vision and unique approach. You’ll receive training and immediately gain practical experience. After successfully completing the academy, you’ll receive a certificate and your journey as a youth coach begins.
You’re someone who stays in motion. You’re sporty and know how to get others moving – physically and emotionally. You know how to inspire and guide large groups and you organise meaningful, active group sessions. You meet others at eye level, with respect and genuine attention.
You take responsibility seriously. You’re grounded and open to challenges. At the same time, you’re creative, flexible, and a real team player. You know how to balance group guidance with individual attention.
You’re at least 21 years old and have a category B driving licence. A completed education in sports, Social Work or SPW is a bonus. Experience in psychiatry or addiction care is welcome, but not required.
You’ll work a steady rhythm of four days on, four days off. During your shift, you’ll stay at our clinic in Hilvarenbeek. Every day is different, but the mission remains the same: give it your all for our fellows. You’ll have one moment of time off each day and one evening per shift when you can go home.
You’ll receive an all-in gross monthly salary of €4,346 (full-time), including allowances.
When all else fails, Yes We Can Youth Clinics provides a solution for many teens and young adults, aged 13 to 25, struggling with mental health issues, addictions and behavioural problems. Our approach has proven to be very successful: about 70% of the fellows no longer need specialised care after having completed 10 weeks of residential treatment and a minimum of 10 weeks aftercare. Our success rate is so high because we not only work together with our fellows, but also with their parents. Successful treatment requires a serious effort from both of them. The collaborative approach at Yes We Can Youth Clinics has proven to be a turning point in the lives of thousands of teens and young adults.
