At Yes We Can Youth Clinics, we support young people aged 13 to 25 who struggle with mental health issues, addictions and behavioural problems. Within our international setting, we work with fellows and families from all over the world, creating a truly diverse and meaningful treatment environment.

We are currently looking for psychiatrists who want to contribute to our international programme either through intake work, clinical treatment, or a combination of both.

Within our international services, you can shape your role based on your expertise and availability. Some psychiatrists focus primarily on the intake process, others work mainly within the clinic, and a combination of both is certainly possible.

How you make a difference in the lives of our young people and their families

International intake (Headquarters Oirschot)
At our headquarters in Oirschot, you play a pivotal role in the intake process for international fellows and their families. You conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, provide clarity and reassurance to families and referrers, assess suitability for treatment and advise on the most appropriate care pathway. You maintain contact with referrers worldwide, request relevant documentation and ensure that psychiatric judgement forms the foundation for treatment decisions, final evaluations and aftercare recommendations.

Clinical treatment (Hilvarenbeek International Clinic)
Within our International Clinic in Hilvarenbeek in the Tilburg region, you hold final responsibility for the psychiatric treatment of our fellows. The clinic hosts around 24 young people from a wide range of cultures and countries, making the work both dynamic and enriching. You work closely with psychologists, counsellors with lived experience, youth coaches and nurses, together creating a safe, caring and recovery-oriented environment for both fellows and colleagues.

Your work includes coordinating psychiatric care, conducting psychodiagnostic assessments, mentoring colleagues, providing supervision and actively contributing to the ongoing development of our treatment programme. There is real opportunity to influence how care is shaped, refined and strengthened over time, drawing on both clinical insight and lived experience within the team.

How we work
Our approach is recovery-oriented, inspired by the Minnesota model and strengthened by evidence-based psychotherapeutic methods. We focus on the person behind the behaviour, combining group dynamics with individual attention and tailoring care to what each fellow truly needs. Reflection, professional dialogue and continuous learning are embedded in our daily work.

When it comes to medication, we work from a thoughtful and cautious perspective. We strongly believe in developing psychological tools and strengthening coping skills, and we continuously assess whether medication is truly necessary. Where possible, tapering off medication is an integral part of our treatment philosophy, always carried out carefully and in close collaboration with the fellow and their family.
